The MÁV If was an express train - steam locomotive series of the Hungarian State Railways MÁV.

For comparison with the composite variant of the MÁV Ie series , the MÁV also had two wet steam twin locomotives built in Budapest in 1891 . Since the compound machines produced clearly better results, no further twin locomotives were built, but the compound machines continued to be procured.

In the first MÁV designation scheme, the two twin locomotives were given the numbers 737–738. In the second scheme from 1891 they were listed as the If category with the numbers 501–502. In the third scheme valid from 1911, they were given the designation 222.094-095.
