The MÁV VIIa were steam tram locomotives of the BHHÉV (Brassó – Haromszek), for which the MÁV operated from 1891 to 1897.

The two machines were manufactured in the Floridsdorf locomotive factory in 1893. Compared to the MÁV VII vehicles , they had lower vapor pressure and less power. The maximum permissible speed was lower than that of category VII.

They were given category VIIa and company numbers 5101 and 5102. In 1897, BHHÉV took over the machines and gave them the names HONTERUS and TATRANG . The company numbers remained unchanged.

In 1919 they came to the CFPBT , whose numbers 1 and 2 they were henceforth.
