Même sang is a collaboration album by the Allschwil rap band Brandhärd and the Cameroonian rapper Mamoney. It was released on April 21, 2007. It entered the official Swiss album charts on May 6, 2007 at number 44. It was then ranked 52 and 96 before the album dropped out of the charts. On April 27, 2007, the official record launch took place in the Basel Summer Casino. The album title translates as 'same blood', which is also the main theme of the CD. The album titles are mostly bilingual (German and French).
background
The collaboration came about through the ethnology student Balz Alter, who dealt extensively with African hip-hop as part of his Liz studies. He distributed Brandhärd albums in Cameroon, a. a. also to Mamoney. He then contacted Brandhärd and asked about a collaboration. Due to the lack of technology and infrastructure, a meeting in Africa was impossible, so the Cameroonian traveled to Switzerland in September, where the first concert took place after just two days.

Behind the black background are Fetch, Fierce, Johnny Holiday and Mamoney. A burning fire can be seen behind it. In the middle of the album title there is a half-black, half-white circle, in the middle a drop of blood. It should clarify the cooperation between black (Mamoney) and white (Brandhärd).

Videos
An official music video was shot for the title song 'Même sang'. The producer was Samuel Flückiger. It runs on Viva Swizz. In the video, the album artists scratch their palms with broken glass, then they shake hands. The video was nominated as the best Swiss rap video on Slang Night 2007.

“Elegantly interwoven French and Basel German rhymes meet ultra-modern beats, produced by Brandhärd technicians Mr. Fierce and DJ Johny Holiday. There is therefore no mention of African music on "Même Sang". Pathetic violins and synths that cut like circular saws dominate the sound. [...] The message that runs through the entire album: We all have the same blood, outward appearances such as skin color do not matter.
