Brandhärd is a hip-hop band from the Basel area municipalities Allschwil and Schönenbuch . While the group was initially primarily known in the Basel area, today it is known throughout German-speaking Switzerland .

biography

The crew of three friends Johny Holiday, Fetch and Fierce have been around since 1997. They had their first appearances in 1999 and in 2000 the demo tape Hip-Hop was released for d'Aiightgnossäschaft . The EP Flächebrand followed later . The first video clips and an increased stage presence followed.

In 2003 they landed their first hit with Noochbrand , which was able to join the Swiss charts (best position 53), followed two years later by the album Zeiche setze , which was placed in the top 20. Entry-level and also best position was 13th place. Zeiche setze was Brandhärd's first album, which was released on the Musikvertrieb (muve) label.

In 2007 the album Brandrenalin was released , which entered the official Swiss hit parade at number 19 in the album charts. After another 5 weeks, the CD disappeared from the charts again. In September 2006, the group joined forces with the Cameroonian rapper Mamoney , with whom they gave numerous concerts and in April 2007 released the collaboration album Même sang . One week after the start of sales, it reached 44th place in the Swiss charts, but was only able to hold up there for three weeks after first falling to 52nd and then to 96th place. Même Sang also appeared on Muve.

In 2010 the album Blackbox was released .

On September 11th, 2015, the last album to date called Zuckerbrot & Steitsche was released. This album also reached the band's highest chart position to date.
