The album cover shows the three band members against a cloudy sky. Above it denounces the band's lettering. A sunset can be seen in the background. There is also a chimney with the Blackbox logo on it. On the back you can see the silhouettes of the band on the Rhine .
Guest Posts
There is only one guest post on the album: The song Rotwyy macht selig features the Cameroonian rapper Mamoney. With this, Brandhärd recorded the collaboration album Même sang in 2007 . After that, Mamoney did not receive a residence permit in Switzerland . He then moved to Italy, where he still lives today. He had no contact with the band for two years. It was not until the last recording session for the album that Mamoney visited the Triple Nine studio. There the only feature of the sound carrier was created at short notice. Mamoney raps like Même sang in French. Radio presenter Christoph Schwegler takes on the role of the narrator in the songs Wägg like dr Wind and Zrugg in her arms .
Producers
The album was produced entirely within the band. Fierce, who had previously been the main producer of the Brandhärd albums, produced 13 of the 14 tracks. DJ Johny Holiday also steered the beat to E Rächt uf schlächti Luune . Brandhärd received musical support for some of the songs. Daniel Küffer was responsible for using the saxophone at Rotwyy macht selig .
Album title
The work process on Blackbox was dubbed Operation Blackswan . A black swan was used as a diagram, which describes the power of extremely unlikely events and goes back to the book Black Swan by the Lebanese Nassim Nicholas Taleb .

Otherwise, Brandhärd rely on their own strengths for “Blackbox”: Not only the rhymes, all beats and scratches are homemade. “Blackbox” is an album that is through and through fire - even if authenticity takes up more space in favor of posing and representing than already.
