Ghazipur landfill

The Ghazipur landfill is one of four landfills in the city of Delhi . It opened in 1984.

Delhi produces 9000 tons of garbage a day, of which 2000 tons are dumped here in Ghazipur in East Delhi . In 2018, a total of 14 million tons of waste were stored at the landfill; its height was 65 m, its area 29 ha.

On November 1, 2017, a dump slide occurred in which two people were killed.
