M50 gas mask

The M50 gas mask has been used by the US armed forces since December 2009. It is a successor to the MCU-2 / P gas mask and the M40 gas mask . It consists of chlorobutyl rubber ( Chlorobutyl rubber silicone ) and weighs 0.86 kg (1.9 lb). The mask provides full respiratory protection for 24 hours. There is a drinking connection on the lower part of the mask.

Compared to the previous models, it has a lower weight and a larger field of vision. In contrast to the previous models, it has two filter connections.

The FM50 and the C50 are available as variants for civil use.
