Lists on the subject

MAM-L , abbreviation of the Turkish Mini Akilli Mühimmat (for example: Mini Precision Ammunition), is a precision-guided aerial bomb with a laser guidance system.

The MAM-L was developed by the Turkish company Roketsan based on the larger L-UMTAS rocket. The L-UMTAS was made smaller by removing the rocket motor and making the MAM-L a possible weapon for equipping drones . The weapon is thrown from the carrier vehicle and then uses its rudder to steer in free fall towards a target marked by the carrier system with a laser beam.

The carrier drone guides the MAM-L to the target itself, so it must be within sight of the target and within radio range of the MAM-L during the entire flight time of the weapon. The range of the MAM-L is limited to about 8 km and the flight time to up to 80 seconds. The accuracy is specified by the manufacturer with up to 3 meters, the splinter effect against people should be up to 20 meters.

variants

A further reduced version is the MAM-C, which was developed with a weight of 6.5 kg for use against unarmored targets.
