The MCH Sennestadt (in detail: Matthias-Claudius-Haus Sennestadt ) is a child and youth center in the Sennestadt district of Bielefeld . It was formerly supported by the Evangelical Church Congregation, today by the Association of Evangelical Churches in Brackwede. The building on Elbeallee was built in 1959/60 and has been in operation since 1961 as the "youth home of the partially open door (TOT)"; it is therefore the oldest facility of its kind in Sennestadt.

history

In the more than 50 years, MCH employees have repeatedly developed innovative projects that have become more important than "their own company". For example, you can see the "Project for Unemployed People / MCH Electronics" from 1983 to 1991, the "School Cafe Head Material", which has been used as a meeting place by up to 80 young people every day since 2008, and the most recent is the "Futsal team ", which emerged from the MCH SoccerBoys project and which, as an independent and registered association, MCH Futsal Club Sennestadt, achieved promotion to the highest futsal league in Germany within a very short time. The MCH stands for a peaceful get-together for children and young people from the most varied of migration backgrounds and a wide range of offers that go far beyond the "open meeting point".
