The MCU-2 / P is a gas mask used by the United States Navy and the United States Air Force . It was introduced in 1990 and replaced the previously used M17 gas mask . A successor model is the M50 gas mask .

It has a large one-piece viewing window. A respiratory protection filter can be screwed onto the side . There is a drinking connection on the lower part of the mask.

A successor model is the similar looking MSA Millennium mask from MSA Safety .
