MINT-Bonbon was a scholarship program from Deutsche Telekom AG . It was started in 2014 and annually supports up to 135 students in the so-called MINT subjects in direct study at the company's own private university , who are motivated, socially committed and high-performing. According to Telekom, the name refers to the fact that the tuition fees are “sucked” like candy (ie covered for the student). With the abolition of tuition fees for newly enrolled direct students from 2017, the MINT candy also expired.
The aim of the scholarship was to cover the monthly tuition fees of the respective student for the duration of the standard period of study. It maintained a partnership with the University of Telecommunications in Leipzig .

history
After the introduction of tuition fees for the 2014/2015 winter semester, Deutsche Telekom saw it as its goal to attract more students to the Group's own university of applied sciences through a scholarship program.
With the abolition of tuition fees for newly enrolled direct students from 2017, the MINT candy also expired. Study and scholarship contracts that have already been awarded must continue to be fulfilled or financially supported by the students.
