MMS postcard

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The MMS postcard is a custom-made, printed postcard that can be sent directly from a mobile phone and from the Internet . It is printed out by a service provider and sent to the post .

The new type of communication was created in 2002 by the company "Postcard Mailing Service" and introduced under the name PMS (terminology analogous to SMS and MMS ). However, its own generic name has not been able to establish itself, instead the MMS postcard is now viewed as an extension of the MMS service.

MMS postcards were available from all mobile phone providers until around 2010. They were then replaced by services such as WhatsApp and external providers. The ability to send self-made digital photos as printed cards was particularly popular with the MMS postcard.
