MSZOSZ

MSZOSZ (Magyar Szakszervezetek Országos Szövetsége) is the short name of the national association of Hungarian trade unions based in Budapest .

The association was established in March 1990 as the central membership organization of various trade unions and represents the interests of active employees , apprentices , the unemployed and pensioners .

The basic endeavors of the MSZOSZ is to support the affiliated trade unions and their members in social, economic, social and cultural interests, the broad representation, protection and enforcement of workers' rights . The organization covers the entire country.

The association itself is involved in international organizations. It is a member of the International Federation of Trade Unions and the European Trade Union Confederation, as well as non-profit organizations such as: Trade Union Advisory Committee (TUAC), the International Labor Organization (ILO), International Workers Education Association (IVA) and the European Trade Union College (ETUI-REHS) ).
