Mean Time To Recover or also Mean Time To Repair (abbreviated MTTR ) is defined as the mean repair time after a system failure. This indicates how long it takes to restore the system on average. It is therefore an important parameter for system availability . This time also includes planning the tasks and the resources . It should be kept as short as possible. System reliability, on the other hand, depends heavily on the mean time between failures (MTBF).
