The MTU Turbomeca Rolls-Royce (short MTR ) is a company active in the aviation industry consortium of three European engine manufacturer MTU Aero Engines , Turbomeca and Rolls-Royce .

The GmbH was founded in 1989 for the development and series production of the MTR390 engine used in the European Eurocopter Tiger attack helicopter , a twin-shaft gas turbine engine with - depending on the version - approx. 950 to 1095 kW shaft power. As the program organization, the consortium is responsible for the development, production and maintenance of the Tiger engines. It is also a contractual partner of the European procurement organization OCCAR .

The consortium is based in Hallbergmoos near Munich. Werner Burger has been the managing director since 2012.
