Lists on the subject

The MTs255 (export designation; actually Russian МЦ255 / MZ255 ) from the Russian manufacturer TsKIB SOO (German Central Design and Research Office for Sports and Hunting Weapons ) from Tula is a five-shot shotgun that, based on the principle of a revolver, has a revolver drum instead of a magazine.

The design office TsKIB SOO was founded in 1949 and primarily developed high-quality sporting and hunting weapons. From the end of the 1990s, the MTs255 revolver shotgun was developed and launched. The weapon has a classic wooden stock and is designed for hunting use. It is supplied in calibers 12/70 , 20/76, 28/70, 32 and .410. The barrels are hard chrome-plated on the inside and have a ventilated visor rail, and exchangeable chokes can be screwed into the muzzle . The trigger can be operated both with a pretensioned cock ( single action ) and as a cocking trigger ( double action ). The hammer hits the firing pin via a transfer bar, which, however, unlike other revolver designs in single-action mode, is already guided in front of the firing pin when the hammer is cocked.
