Ma Perkins

Ma Perkins was an American soap opera that was broadcast on the radio from 1933 to 1960. A total of 7065 episodes of the series were broadcast.

The entertainment series was produced by Frank and Anne Hummert. The authors included Robert Hardy Andrews and Orvin Tovrov, among others. The first episode of Ma Perkins was from the transmitter on August 14, 1933 WLW in Cincinnati aired. On December 4th of the same year, the soap opera switched to the NBC Red Network.

The story takes place in a town in the south of the USA with a population of 4,000, in which Ma Perkins runs a small shop for handicrafts and all kinds of junk ("lumber yard"). The main role was played by Virginia Payne .
