Ma Teng

Ma Teng (馬騰) (* 156 ; † 212 ) was a Chinese officer and descendant of the famous Han general Ma Yuan , father of Ma Chao , governor of Liang Province and one of the eight horsemen of Han Sui .

Ma Teng participated in the coalition against Dong Zhuo in 184 . After their dissolution, he went back to Liang Province to consolidate his rule. Together with Liu Bei , he participated in a plan to kill Cao Cao . When the plan was discovered, he managed to escape to his province. Years later, Cao Cao issued an edict to force him to go with his sons Ma Xui and Ma Tie to the capital, Xu Chang, where all three were murdered.
