Maale Amos (Hebrew: מעלה עמוס, German: ascent of Amos ) is an Israeli settlement in the West Bank with 319 inhabitants (2004).

In 1994 Maale Amos had 388 residents. The settlement was founded in 1981 and is located in the Gush Etzion region , south of the Palestinian village of Kisan and the Israeli military base Iwei ha-Nachal, around 14 kilometers from the “ green line ”. In 1988 thirty houses in Kisan were destroyed and land in the village was successively expropriated for the expansion of the Israeli settlement of Maale Amos.

Most of the residents of Maale Amos are Orthodox Jews who immigrated from the United States . The place was named after the biblical prophet Amos , who came from neighboring Tekoa .
