Rockstar New England is an American game developer based in Andover , Massachusetts . The studio was founded as Mad Doc Software and renamed on April 4, 2008 as part of the takeover by Take 2 Interactive / Rockstar Games .
Company history
Mad Doc Software was founded in 1999 by Ian Davis. In Empire Earth II , Mad Doc's uses Mad3D game engine and MadAI technology. In the spring of 2000, Mad Doc opened the "Massachusetts Studio" in Lawrence and supported Activision in ending the game Star Trek: Armada .
