Maftir

As maftir ( Hebrew. : מפטיר) is defined as the final reading of the Tora , synonymously also those of the prophet section reads (Hebrew haftorah.) From the Torah. A fixed verse from the 4th book of Moses is read aloud on holidays such as Passover , Shavuot or also quite normally on the Sabbath . A young person can also speak the maftir if he is instructed in the mitzvah .
