Magdalena Kozioł (born September 14, 1981 ) is a former Polish judoka .

Athletic career

Magdalena Kozioł was active in the heavyweight division, the weight class over 78 kilograms. At Polish championships she only won heavyweight in 2001. From 2001 to 2009 she also won four silver and eleven bronze medals in the heavyweight and open class.

In 2000 she finished fifth at the U20 World Championships and received a silver medal at the U20 European Championships. At the 2003 World Championships in Osaka, she was eliminated from the heavyweight division in her first fight. In the open class, she was defeated by Cuban Daima Beltrán in the quarterfinals . With victories in the hope round over the Russian Irina Rodina and the Dutch Claudia Zwiers , she reached the battle for a bronze medal. This she lost to the Serbian Mara Kovačević , ultimately she finished fifth. At the European Championships in 2004 she finished seventh after one win and two losses. In 2007 she was seventh again at the European Championships in the open class. In 2008 she reached the final at the Police World Championships in both heavyweight and open class, both times she lost in the final to the Tunisian Nihel Cheikh Rouhou .
