Magic 69 was an Austrian rock band that was founded in Fürstenfeld in 1969 .

history

On August 23, 1969 Günter Timischl , Harald Brunner , Carl Peyer , Gunther Silbert and Peter Szammer founded the band Magic 69. The name came from Manfred Zotter, who managed the band for the first two years. In the first year Peyer and Silbert left the band and Andi Beit and Franz Posch joined them. In 1971 the band performed at the Styrian music festival Popendorf 71 . In the winter of 1971/72, Szammer and Posch switched to the newly formed band Mashuun , Boris Bukowski came from the recently disbanded Music Machine to Magic 69 and from 1972 Gerhard Fuchs played instead of Posch. The double album Underground made in Styria was to be created with Mashuun, but it was withdrawn shortly before its release. From 1974 the group played on as Magic and released some records. The group disbanded in 1982.
