Magic 8 ball

The Magic 8 Ball is a toy that resembles a black and white billiard ball (number eight). The original toy was developed in the 1950s and manufactured and sold by Mattel . A mechanism inside the ball can give random answers to questions that can be answered with “yes” or “no” .

functionality

The black plastic ball is filled with an opaque, dark blue liquid in which an icosahedron (twenty surfaces) floats, on whose surfaces the various answers are written in raised letters. Opposite the 8 there is a window on the surface of the sphere in which the answers can be read. You should use the ball by holding the viewing window down, asking your question and then turning the ball over. Contrary to popular belief, shaking the ball is not recommended as this will cause the liquid to bubble and prevent it from working properly.

Of the 20 answers, 10 are affirmative ( positive ), 5 negative ( negative ) and 5 neutral.
