Community structure

The community is divided into the place Krumstedt and the settlement Krumstedterfeld as well as the other districts Krumstedter Vierth, Weddelkate, Sandberg, Krumstedtermoor and Karkhof.

Neighboring communities

Neighboring communities are the communities of Bargenstedt , Tensbüttel-Röst , Schafstedt , Eggstedt , Süderhastedt , Frestedt , Windbergen , Wolmersdorf and Nindorf (all in the Dithmarschen district), starting clockwise to the north .

history

On April 1, 1934, the parish of Südermeldorf-Geest was dissolved. All of their village communities, village communities and farmers became independent communities / rural communities, including Krumstedt.

The staggered arrangement of abstract houses is intended to indicate the origin of the place name of the municipality of Krumstedt (Krumme Stätte). The wheel symbolizes the "old country route", which was the busiest trade route between Dithmarschen and Holstein in the 16th and 17th centuries . The wave bars refer both to the present in the municipal area silted Windberger lake whose surface today as Windberger lowland is known as well as the two boundary rivers Weddelbek and Schafau , in the lowlands of the former marsh lake flow together.

Sports

The local sports club is TSV Krumstedt. The soccer division maintains the game community SG Geest 05 with the neighboring clubs TSV Schafstedt and TSV Eggstedt.
