Volsemenhusen is a municipality in the Dithmarschen district in Schleswig-Holstein .

geography

Volsemenhusen is an agriculturally structured municipality in the Marsch , which breaks up into numerous smaller settlements. It is located east of the town of Marne and consists of the settlement areas Harsemenhusen, Kannemoor, Kannemoorfelde, Klitzhusen, Norderlandsteig, Norderwisch, Rösthusen, Süderlandsteig, Süderwisch, Schüttung, Volsemenhusen and Westerhusen.

history

On April 1, 1934, the parish of Marne was dissolved. All of their villages, village communities and farmers became independent communities / rural communities, including Volsemenhusen.

The current municipality got its current expansion on January 1, 1970 through the incorporation of the municipalities of Kannemoor, Norderwisch, Rösthusen and Süderwisch, which until 1934 also belonged to the parish of Marne.

Since the local elections in 2013, the KWV voter community has all nine seats in the local council.

Economy and Infrastructure

The St. Michaelisdonn – Friedrichskoog railway line , on which the Volsemenhusen station was located, has been closed . Apart from a children's playground in Norderwisch and a book bus, Volsemenhusen hardly has any public facilities. In addition to the Volsemenhusen volunteer fire brigade , which looks after the neighboring community of Ramhusen to the south , there is a country restaurant. The nearest day care centers and kindergartens are in Marne and Helse .
