coat of arms

Blazon : "Divided in the middle by green and gold in arches to the head of the shield, at the top three silver house silhouettes next to each other over a narrow silver arched bar, at the bottom a green bossel ball with silver dots between two green fern fronds."

The community lies on the edge of the Dithmarscher Geest , in the transition area to the Dithmarscher Marsch . The colors yellow and green relate to the natural location. The color green also indicates the importance of agriculture. The place name Nindorf is derived from Nindorf = tom nigen dorpe = to the new village. The three houses in the main shield should symbolize this. The place name Farnewinkel can be interpreted as "angle in or on the fern". The ferns in the base of the shield should symbolize this part of the village. The arched shield division points to an elevation in Nindorf, the Engelsberg, which is registered as a natural monument. The curved silver bar refers to the location of the community on Ochsenweg. The Boßel kugel refers to a recreational sport that has a long tradition in Nindorf.
