coat of arms

Blazon : “Divided by green and silver in a wave cut. Above a silver stone grave consisting of three bearing stones and a cover plate, below a blue mill wheel below. On the right side of the cover plate of the stone grave several bowl-shaped notches and the carved symbol of a wheel cross. "

The upper half of the municipal coat of arms shows the bowl stone from Bunsoh, which was discovered under one of the many burial mounds in the municipality. This stone is characterized by numerous bowl-shaped notches, as well as double rings, flat grooves, wheel crosses and depictions of hands. The interpretation of these signs is not fully understood. A wheel cross has been added to the coat of arms to represent all other symbols, with the entire stone grave supposed to bear witness to the early settlement of the place and its surroundings. The lower half of the coat of arms shows half a mill wheel, which represents the old still existing water mill of Bunsoh as "part of the whole" .
