Helse is a municipality in the Dithmarschen district in Schleswig-Holstein .

geography

location

The municipality, which borders directly on the urban area of Marne , is on the marshland . The federal highway 5 , which connects Marne and Meldorf with each other, runs through the municipality .

Community structure

The municipality consists of the districts Darenwurth, Helse, Helserdeich, Hembüttel, Krumwehl, Norderlandsteig, Triangel, Vitt and Zippelkoog.

Neighboring communities

Neighboring communities are the communities Trennewurth , Volsemenhusen , Marne , Marnerdeich and Kronprinzenkoog (all in the Dithmarschen district), starting clockwise to the north .

history

On April 1, 1934, the parish of Marne was dissolved. All of their villages, village communities and farmers became independent communities / rural communities, including Helse-Helserdeich-Darenwurth.

Not far from Marne is the formerly exclusively rural village of Helse. Without damage to the still dominant agricultural structure of the municipality, its economic development has recently been characterized by an increase in small and medium-sized businesses. The remarkable, heraldically unusual heraldic figure is to be understood in the sense of this structural change. It shows a kind of millstone in a design that is reminiscent of a fire wheel, a whirlpool or a wind turbine. Going back to a work of art present in the community, it is intended as a symbol for movement in the sense of dynamism and progress. The location of Helses near the sea is symbolized by the blue of the hub. The ring surrounding it stands for the "Golden Ring", the first closed sea dike, which was probably built at the beginning of the 11th century.
