Wallen is a municipality in the north of the Dithmarschen district in Schleswig-Holstein .
geography
The community is located directly on the Eider . The county road 47, which connects the communities Delve and Pahlen with each other, runs through Wallen.
history
On April 1, 1934, the parish Tellingstedt was dissolved. All of their village communities, village communities and farmers became independent communities / rural communities, including Wallen.
politics
The community has fewer than 70 inhabitants and therefore, according to Section 54 of the Schleswig-Holstein community code, a community assembly instead of a community council. The community assembly includes all residents of the community who are eligible to vote. This has been the case in Wallen since 1955.
Economy and Infrastructure
From 1905 to 1937 the place had a railway connection with the Norderdithmarschen district railway .
