politics

coat of arms

Blazon : "Above the green mountain, which is covered with a silver stone grave consisting of several bearing stones and a capstone, three gable-facing green farmhouses 1: 2 in silver."

The image of the houses standing on a mountain in the coat of arms of the municipality of Bargenstedt refers to the topographical situation of the district of Bargenstedt on a high Geest ridge . With regard to the possible, linguistically not clearly verifiable interpretation of the place name as a “place on the mountains”, the municipal coat of arms can also be used as a “talking” symbol. The district Dellbrück is represented by a prehistoric stone grave in the shield base. This barrow is still preserved today.

flag

On a flag cloth divided into an upper, wide white and a lower, narrow green stripe, which is arched in the middle, the figures of the municipal coat of arms in flag-appropriate tinging.

Public facilities

The Bargenstedter composting plant processes biowaste as well as tree and shrub cuttings from the Dithmarschen district into compost, which is then sold exclusively in Dithmarschen.
