Wesselburener Deichhausen is a municipality in the northwest of the Dithmarschen district in Schleswig-Holstein . Hartenkröge and Hassenbüttel are in the municipality.

history

The Dorfwurt Wesselburener Deichhausen originated in the Middle Ages, the exact age is unclear. The neighboring Wurten Wellinghusen and Hassenbüttel were founded in the 7th and 10th centuries AD.

In 1995 archaeological excavations were carried out in Hassenbüttel. These prove that in 9/10. Century AD on a low march sausages from clay were built. Century increased and enlarged. The excavations uncovered a residential stable from this time.

On April 1, 1934, the parish land community Wesselburen was dissolved. All of their villages, village communities and farmers became independent communities / rural communities, including Wesselburener Deichhausen.

Incorporations

On January 1, 1975, the previously independent municipality of Hassenbüttel was incorporated.

Since the local elections in 2013, the WGD voter community has all seven seats in the local council.
