Magic attack

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Magic Attack was a monthly comic magazine with a focus on fantasy , which the German Carlsen Verlag launched in October 2001 together with the manga magazines Banzai and Daisuki . Individual editions, mainly of German and French comics, were published here, mostly spread over three to five editions.

Since the magazine, unlike BANZAI! only sold below average, the production was stopped after the 19th edition in April 2003 .

concept

In each issue, three to four comics were printed in individual sequences of eight to twelve pages. In addition, the editorial team compiled news from the comic and fantasy scene (films, books, etc.) and interviewed illustrators and authors of the printed works. Every now and then there were also special supplements such as a comic calendar or sketchbooks .

In Magic Attack , the series Lanfeust der Sterne , Kaarib , Luuna and Sky Doll had their German premieres .

All releases are also available as albums.
