Daisuki ( jap. 大好き , dt. I love you ) was a monthly, German-language manga magazine of Carlsen Comics , which from February 2003 to June 2012 mainly Shōjo - manga published for girls. One issue was about 256 pages long and cost 5.95 euros in Germany. The editor-in-chief of Daisuki was Anne Berling. Due to declining sales, the magazine was discontinued by Carlsen Verlag.
Individual continuation chapters of parallel manga series were printed for each issue. The chapters of individual series were later summarized in anthologies and published again in paperback format. In addition to the manga chapters, the magazine contained articles on, for example, Japanese fashion, culture and the country itself. The magazine was produced in collaboration with the Japanese publisher Hakusensha , from whose publications the Japanese mangas in the Daisuki originate. In addition to Japanese mangas, works by German mangakas were also published in Daisuki .
The two series God Child and Kare Kano were canceled because they were less popular with readers of the magazine than the other comics. Instead, Carlsen continued the anthology releases of the two mangas at a faster pace.
The sister magazine of the Daisuki with the title BANZAI! was discontinued by Carlsen Comics in December 2005.
