The Chronicles of the Black Moon
The Chronicles of the Black Moon (original title: Chroniques de la lune noire ) is a French comic series . The series is by François Marcela-Froideval , who was responsible for the text, and Olivier Ledroit , who was responsible for the drawings. Cyril Pontet has been the draftsman since volume six .
The comic series was published in Germany from 1990 to 1997 by Splitter . From 2001 the series up to # 14 was published by Carlsen Comics . Since then Finix Comics has published the other volumes.
The first cycle of the series ends with the 14th volume La Fin Des Temps ( The End of Times ), which was first published in France in November 2008. In 2011 a prequel was released with volume 0 and in 2012 the second cycle started with volume 15.
In recent years Froideval has developed three spin-offs based on the "Chroniken" , the first volumes of which have also been published by Carlsen in Germany. The titles of these series are Methraton (from 2001), Arkanum and The Secrets of the Black Moon . So far, Dargaud in France has published a single volume called Succubus in addition to other volumes from the spin-offs mentioned .

An MMORPG called Black Moon Chronicles - Winds Of War was announced by Vircom . In 2002 the development of the game was stopped.
In January 2007, the development of AmalGame-Online Inc. was resumed. The open beta will start on February 25, 2008. The game will be developed by Digiland Entertainment. The game concept should be based strongly on the system of the Vircom project, which was discontinued in 2002. It can be seen from the job advertisements of the developer that the graphic should be based on the original again.
The French developer "Cryo", which has since been dissolved, released their version of the Chronicles in 1999, a strategy game that was supposed to enable mass battles. "The Chronicles of the Black Moon" was not only characterized by its poor graphics, but above all by the fact that this game could not be installed on most computers without a patch. That is probably the reason why this game, published by Koch Media in Germany, remained almost unknown.
