Dellstedt is a municipality in the northeast of the Dithmarschen district in Schleswig-Holstein .
geography
Geographical location
The village is north of the federal highway 203 between Heide and Rendsburg in the Eider-Treene lowland . The nature reserve Dellstedter Birkwildmoor is in the immediate vicinity of the village.
Community structure
Rethbucht and Im Felde are districts of the Dellstedt community.
Neighboring communities
Neighboring communities, starting clockwise in the north, are Tielenhemme (in the Dithmarschen district), Friedrichsgraben , Bargstall , Elsdorf-Westermühlen and Hamdorf (all in the Rendsburg-Eckernförde district ) as well as Wrohm , Süderdorf , Tellingstedt and Dörpling (all in the Dithmarschen district).
history
On April 1, 1934, the parish Tellingstedt was dissolved. All of their villages, village communities and farmers became independent communities / rural communities, including Dellstedt.

The coat of arms of the municipality Dellstedt refers to the conditions of the economic structure and the natural spatial situation of the place. The wavy bar dividing the coat of arms in the middle represents the Eider , which forms the eastern border of the municipality and which provided the basis for modest river navigation. The black grouse is that by its Birkwildbestand known Dellstedter Moor is in the west of the municipality. The plow in the upper part of the arms points to the fact that the community mostly still agriculture is structured.
