Elsdorf-Westermühlen (Danish: Elstorp-Vestermølle) is a municipality in the Eider-Treene lowland in the district of Rendsburg-Eckernförde in Schleswig-Holstein .

Geography and traffic

The community is about ten kilometers southwest of Rendsburg on the federal road 203 to Heide .

Elsdorf was first mentioned in 1340 as Elerstorp . Although the first part of the place name is similar to the Low German name for alder ( Eller ), there is probably no etymological connection.
