Rodenbek is a municipality in the Rendsburg-Eckernförde district in Schleswig-Holstein . Annenhof, Hohenhude, Hohenhude-Siedlung, Ruhm and Steinfurt are in the municipality.

Geography and traffic

Rodenbek is located between the Eidertal , the Westensee and the Rumohrer Gehölz state forest, about 8 km southwest of Kiel on the federal motorway 215 .

history

The community of Rodenbek was established in 1951 when it separated from Mielkendorf , but the first documentary mention of one of its districts was in 1469.

The old school is one of the last preserved schools from the 18th century in the district.

politics

Local council, mayor

Of the nine seats in the municipal council, the AKWG community of voters has had six seats since the 2008 local elections and the NLR community of voters three.

The first mayor was Adolf Hansen. From 1952 to 1974 Johannes Repenning was mayor of the municipality of Rodenbek. From 1974 to 1980 Max Holst was mayor of the municipality of Rodenbek. Hans Sellmer was his successor until 2013. Hans Sellmer was mayor until 2013. His successor from 2013 was Björn Witthöft. In 2018 he was replaced by Timo Boss.
