Brammer is a municipality in the Rendsburg-Eckernförde district in Schleswig-Holstein . Brammerau, Brammerhöh and Papenkamp are in the municipality.

Geography and traffic

Brammer is located about 15 kilometers south of Rendsburg on Ochsenweg in the Aukrug nature park in a very wooded area. The place can be easily reached via the Landesstraße 328 (formerly Bundesstraße 205 ), the Bundesautobahn 7 and the railway line from Rendsburg to Neumünster .

The Brammer Au flows through the district of Brammerau and the village itself . In 2003, a new building area, the Barlohe, was developed in the center of the village.

The center of Schleswig-Holstein is 4 km southeast in the direction of Nortorf .

history

The place was first mentioned in 1442 as to Brammer , but was probably founded in the 12th or 13th century. The place name is derived from the Low German word for blackberry .
