Tackesdorf is a municipality in the Rendsburg-Eckernförde district in Schleswig-Holstein. Tackesdorf-Nord and Tackesdorf-Süd are in the municipality. The Kiel Canal runs between the two .

Geography and traffic

The place is about 26 km east of Heide and 20 km southwest of Rendsburg on the Kiel Canal.

history

The place was not settled until 1904 in the course of the cultivation of the riding moor and is named after Bruno Tacke , who promoted the cultivation of the moor. Tackesdorf has been an independent municipality since 1927.

politics

Of the seven seats in the municipal council has Wählergemeinschaft KWG a 2013 six seats and a single candidate for the local elections.

economy

The municipality is predominantly agricultural. However, there is also tourism.
