Brinjahe is a municipality in the Rendsburg-Eckernförde district in Schleswig-Holstein . Freudenberg, Franzosenberg, Heidberg and Wisbek are in the municipality.

Geography and traffic

Brinjahe is located in the Aukrug Nature Park about 15 km south of Rendsburg on the federal road 77 to Itzehoe . The Kiel Canal runs northwest of Brinjahe .

The place was first mentioned as Brunnia in 1538 . The meaning of the place name is not clear.
