Königshügel ( Danish : Kongshøj , flat German : Hoverland ) is a municipality in the district of Rendsburg-Eckernförde in Schleswig-Holstein (Germany) belonging to the Hohner Harde district . It consists of the districts of Königshügel and Königsberg, a good three kilometers to the west .
Geography and traffic
Königshügel is located about 8 km west of Rendsburg in Königsmoor an der Sorge . The federal highway 202 runs south from Rendsburg to Eiderstedt, east the federal highway 77 from Rendsburg to Schleswig .
history
Königshügel and Königsberg were founded as colonists' villages in the 18th century as part of the Geest colonization by order of the Danish King Friedrich V.
