Attractions
Upper Eider Valley
Grevenkrug is a starting point for the Eidertal hiking trail. The Eidertal was selected as a model project for the watering of fens. It is grazed extensively, with back-breeding of wild horse breeds and aurochs being used. In addition to the lowland, the adjacent slopes also belong to the 390 hectare project area.
Oldest iron bridge in the country
An iron bridge crosses the Eider on the way to Techelsdorf. It is a listed building because it is the oldest iron structure of its kind in Schleswig-Holstein. The bridge was built in 1865 by order of the Itzehoe monastery and the Bordesholm office after a wooden crossing had been demolished. Today's concrete abutments were built in 1950 on the existing wooden piles.
economy
