Neu Duvenstedt is a municipality in the Rendsburg-Eckernförde district in Schleswig-Holstein. Hegenholt, Heidberg, Mohr, Neu Duvenstedt-Nord, Neu Duvenstedt-Süd, Schlagbaum and Schulendamm are in the municipality.

Geography and traffic

Neu Duvenstedt lies on the edge of the Hüttener Mountains between Rendsburg and the Wittensee . And on the federal highway 203 from Rendsburg to Eckernförde . The A 7 / E 45 runs to the west from Rendsburg to Schleswig .

politics

The Wählergemeinschaft KWG since the local elections of 2003, all seven seats in the municipal council.

economy

The community is predominantly agricultural.

Colonist Courtyard

The Kolonistenhof 54 ° 21 ′ 55.17 ″  N , 9 ° 40 ′ 50.11 ″  E of the Schleswig-Holstein Diakonie-Hilfswerk is located in the municipality . In the nature experience area with adventure stations, animal enclosures and hiking trails in the Hüttener Berge nature park, there is an exhibition on the ice age terminal moraine landscape of the nature park with its flora and fauna as well as on the history of the colonization of Schleswig-Holstein in the late 18th century by settlers from the Württemberg region by the Danish krone.

Since September 2, 2012, a collection of around 30 different objects and sculptures made of stone, wood, glass and metal can be viewed on the grounds of the Kolonistenhof.
