Wasbek is a municipality in the Rendsburg-Eckernförde district in Schleswig-Holstein . Prehnsfelde and Bullenbek are in the municipality.

Geography and traffic

Wasbek is located directly west of Neumünster . In the west, the Aukrug nature park borders the municipal area. To the east, the federal motorway 7 runs from Hamburg to Flensburg through the outskirts and can be reached via the Neumünster Mitte exit. The federal highway 430 from Lütjenburg via Neumünster to Schenefeld runs in an east-west direction through the municipality.

The place has a stop on the Neumünster – Heide railway line . Trains on regional line 63, operated by the Nordbahn railway company , run every hour to Neumünster or Hohenwestedt and every two hours via Heide to Büsum . In addition, Wasbek and the district of Bullenbek are connected to the city of Neumünster via bus line 9 from Stadtwerke Neumünster (SWN).

The Aalbek stream flows through the town from north to south, while the Bullenbek delimits the municipality in the east. Lake Trelleborg is located near the motorway .

politics

Wasbek resigned from the Aukrug office on June 15, 2008 and has since formed an administrative partnership with the city of Neumünster , which is responsible for the administrative business for the community.
