Lindau ( district of Rendsburg-Eckernförde in Schleswig-Holstein . The community consists of the three villages Großkönigsförde, Lindau and Revensdorf as well as the Hennerode settlement. Other districts are Neu-Revensdorf, Ruckforde, Neu-Ruckforde, Timmrogen and Waterdiek.

Lindau is located about 12 km northwest of Kiel , 8 km south of Eckernförde and 17 km northeast of Rendsburg between Wittensee , Kiel Canal and Eckernförde Bay . The federal highway 76 runs from Kiel to Eckernförde about 5 km northeast of Lindau, and the federal highway 203 runs from Rendsburg to Eckernförde about 7 km northwest .

Düvelstein / Teufelsstein
The Düvelstein or Teufelsstein near Großkönigsförde is the largest boulder in Schleswig-Holstein. According to legend, the devil hurled him at the St. Jürgen Church in Gettorf . Though he reportedly narrowly missed the church, it should be his fault that it is crooked today.
