Remmels is a municipality in the Rendsburg-Eckernförde district in Schleswig-Holstein . Papenau, Büttenbarg, Dellbrück, Grevensberg, Winselhof and Hinnekamp are in the municipality.
Geography and traffic
Remmels is located about 26 km west of Neumünster and 20 km south of Rendsburg in the Aukrug Nature Park . The municipal area is crossed by the federal highway 77 from Rendsburg to Itzehoe , in the south the federal highway 430 runs from Neumünster in the direction of Meldorf .
Remmels used to be connected to the rail network. The meter-gauge Rendsburger Kreisbahn connected Rendsburg with Hohenwestedt from 1901 and was continued to Schenefeld in 1916 . In 1956/57 the line was closed, today all track systems have been dismantled.

The Remmels water tower shown in the coat of arms is still preserved today. It dates from 1913 and was renovated in 1994.
