Embühren is a municipality in the Aukrug Nature Park in the Rendsburg-Eckernförde district in Schleswig-Holstein . Junge Eichen, Stabrook and Wiesenhof are located in the municipality.

geography

The community is surrounded by Breiholz from the office Hohner Harde , Haale , Hamweddel and Brinjahe from the office Jevenstedt and Nienborstel from the office Mittelholstein .

history

The place was founded shortly before 1500 and was originally called Immigburen , Imingburen or Imburen, depending on the source .

politics

Of the nine seats in the municipal council, the KWG has had all seats since the 2013 local elections.

economy

The municipality is predominantly agricultural.

Personalities

Detlef Struve (1903–1987), CDU politician and co-founder of the Schleswig-Holstein farmers' association, lived in Embühren, where he died in 1987.
