Stafstedt is a municipality in the Rendsburg-Eckernförde district in Schleswig-Holstein .

Geography and traffic

Stafstedt is about 14 km south of Rendsburg in the Aukrug Nature Park . The federal highway 77 runs to the west from Rendsburg to Itzehoe . From 1901 to 1957, Stafstedt was a railway station on the Rendsburger Kreisbahn .

The Ochsenweg , a historic cross-country road running in a north-south direction, led through the municipality.

Stafstedt is one of the original Holstein villages. The age is estimated to be around 900–1000 years.

Of the nine seats in the municipal council, the KWG has had all nine seats since the 2013 local elections .
