Christiansholm (Low German: Chrischansholm , Krischansholm ) is a municipality in the Eider-Treene lowland in the Rendsburg-Eckernförde district in Schleswig-Holstein and borders the Königsmoor and the Hohner See nature reserve .
Geography and traffic
Christiansholm is about 20 km west of Rendsburg on the federal highway 202 to Eiderstedt and on the disused railway line Husum-Erfde-Rendsburg .
history
The place was founded in 1762 as part of the Geest colonization and named after Christian VII of Denmark, the then crown prince.
Meggerholm , originally part of Christiansholm and still today economically and collectively part of the village, is now part of the municipality of Meggerdorf in the Schleswig-Flensburg district .

Community representation
The Wählergemeinschaft AKWG has since the local elections of 2008, all nine seats in the municipal council.
